Saturday - Sam reminds me to be gentler with Mom as she is 80 this year and she may not have many years left - though she is still quite fit physically her mind wanders and she is forgetful. She is happy when with us and is more her normal; talkative and cheerful, often chatting with strangers and joking about the people she observes - 'see that woman, I would have worn that skirt if I were as fat as her'.
