Chuan and Megan left Kuching more than 10 years ago, to set up home and their architecture practice in Perth. They did so in part for their three children's education, and partly because they sought greener pastures for their work. Both are good designers, I have always thought that Chuan had a good design eye, and enjoyed designing furniture. Megan liked being an architect; interacting with her clients, solving design problems, proposing solutions and getting things built - buildings, their interiors and landscapes. Which is why she is still working as an architect, while Chuan has been dabbling in property development in Perth.
So it was quite a nice surprise to hear that they were thinking of returning to re-settle in Kuching.
