Isaac's people arrive to start on our house renovation and repair works. I am quite looking forward to tidying the house up and making use of all the spaces we have created in the past 30 years.
Looking back, I am surprised at the energy we had - to design, build and use these spaces.
At the same time this morning, Sarah texts to say that her grandfather has passed away, we offer to collect her from the airport. She accepts, and at 7p.m. we pick her up from the airport and go to the wake. Their family and friends are there, most of whom we know and we easily pick up the conversation where we left off (years ago, for some of them).
I still have difficulty making eye contact with WK, I don't like looking at him - it makes me recall the falsehoods he has told. Recently I have the same issue with another 'friend' - after I realise that she has different faces for different folks and different occasions. Silly of me really as I have nothing to hide, I will look at them properly the next time they speak to me.
