27.6.2026 Saturday - re-connecting

 

Sam is in KL to spend mom's one-year death anniversary with dad; Sara and Val went with her for the (better and fun) company. Sam tells me that dad has been testy and easily triggered, the new maid is shy but diligent, and hum as she works. I think Sam does it for her own peace of mind, rather than for anyone else. 

While she is away, Sean and I spend more meal times together. I spend more time at work, I don't like to be at home when she is not around. As a distraction, I accepted a lunch offer with CW - good to catch up after 9 months of missing each other. 

I spend the rest of the time listening to music on our new tv.

Slightly stressful day, because there is no definitely deadline - so I ease my mind by sitting in the kopi shop and sketching out 'things to do'. I feel better after doing this and go upstairs to finish the Safari masterplan, just in time for Teck to ask about it. So, we sent it along. 

MWAA meet to talk about the possibility of hiring the new guy; who seems polite and determined in equal measures. We talked about reducing shares and hiring him to improve our BIM capability.

I meet with the Binapuri  people at 130pm, this time I get a better vibe from them. I really hope this one moves along - we need new clients. I have a long lunch and return to the office after a good work-out.
