3.6.2025 Tuesday

2.6.2025 Monday - reading for fun

I finally finish reading Peter Fitzsimon's Sydney Opera House, 2 years after we bought it at the Sydney Botanic Gardens.

I had no idea...

1.6.2025 Sunday - 4th pikabol session

Early start to the day, with pickleball practice with the PAMSC people (who would have thought!) which ended with a nice breakfast with Sam and Pik Shia. A compliment from her boss (and business partner) - that I am doing the right thing for the fraternity with the establishment of the website.
Compliments like these are the best, because they come from people who have little relation with us, little to gain from praising us.

31.5.2025 Saturday - LekHeng gets married

Fiona takes this photo of me on the chancel (or sanctuary) during LH's wedding. Making the most out of the morning, I decide to try out the telephoto to take photos of people unawares during the ceremony.

30.5.2025 Friday - SL visits Kuching

Yvonne collected SL from the airport and sends her to No. 40 - and later in the evening, we all gather for a home cooked meal - former colleagues and new(ish) get together to share a bit of chit-chat and food. I am glad that we played a part in this continuing relationship.

SL tells me that FL will take her on a road trip to Sibu on Sunday.
She also tells me some disconcerting news regarding work, we tell her to be brave and know her worth. No need to put out with toxic and petty people, she has good skills, this is just another chapter in life.

29.5.2025 Thursday -

28.5.2025 Wednesday - a satisfying 'no'

Sam's candidate for printing on A1.

D texts asking nicely if I would like to sketch the new fake Gothic church, in a new book similar to the last one he did for the St. Joseph Cathedral (which no doubt they did for money, I was asked to volunteer).

I reply - thank you for thinking of me. But I don't want to do this because I don't have the same affection for this building, as I do for the Cathedral.
